ACE

Fun times at the Ace in Palm Springs. Sunday afternoon brunch poolside with an awesome dj. Don't know his name, sorry. This place was scene for sure. Super chill vibe, kids and dogs welcome!!!

Pappy & Harriet's

On our way to Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace to see The Autumn Defense. Pappy & Harriet's is the most amazing down home and unique honkytonk I've ever visited. The vibe was local and colorful, super friendly and mellow. This place has every type of person represented here. There were families here for burgers and ribs, hipsters to see the band, bikers, old timers in their western garb dancing to The Autumn Defense and just the local folk who live nearby. The band was Amazing! The band is comprised of two of the members of Wilco. I hope they will come to NYC and play soon. This is definitely a place to go for fun!

HOPE

Hope Springs in Desert Hot Springs. My friend Karen stayed here while the rest of stayed at Two Bunch. This place was super cute and amazing rooms with kitchens. Very spare, clean and "modern". This place could be an option next time as the rooms are wonderfully and reasonably priced!

Wonderful tree lights at the fabulous Le Vallauris in Palm Springs! We had an awesome dinner! Thanks to lovely Sara! xo

Does This Not Look Good?

This was too fabulous and such a welcome treat! OMG! A reprieve from the toil and drudgery of NYC winter life. Two Bunch Palms Spa and Resort in Desert Hot Springs. We soaked in the healing waters for days. We enjoyed fresh air, warm sunny days and cool evenings. Gorgeous sunsets every night! And enjoyed the stillness and quietness of the desert. Peaceful.

Clifton's Downtown Los Angeles

This was an interesting place to visit. Once upon a time it was quite the spot to go to for your fine dining and entertainment. It was a bit hard to imagine how it must have been in all its glory 50 or 60 years ago. So thank goodness for all the postcards and memorabilia around to show off what once was. This place has quite the history. It is a five generation family owned operation. Quite impressive. However the food sadly was not as impressive as the history or some of the characters milling about. The staff was super pleasant and I could sense the there is still a familial and familiar quality they try to uphold. Please go to Clifton's for a walk back in time.

A Few Images From LA

Musso & Frank Grill
I can never get enough of this place! It always satisfies and grounds me when I am in Los Angeles. It never changes and the same people have worked here forever and they are LOVELY!!!

Griffith Park Observatory
I love this place and I love to get a quick hike in here in the mornings. The views are awesome and with a local showing you the way around the park and giving you a guide of the layout of the city below, it is divine!!!
Solstice Canyon
This was more of a nature hike than a strenuous climb. It was quiet and beautiful. Easy and in Malibu. There are some ruins from homesteads previous and a modernist home, Roberts Ranch House, built by Paul Williams in 1952 and destroyed by fire in 1982. Looking forward to more hikes in Malibu canyons.
Malibu
Fab fish and chips and fish tacos!!! Malibu Seafood. Yum!
