This Made Me Smile Today

These natural and hand crafted beauties gave me such a lift today! The streets are dirty and crowded with tourists who have no idea where they are going nor do they have on the proper shoes for getting around in the slush. Kind of pesky. And not to mention some locals wearing their cranky pants! Very pesky. So when I came across these beauties, I could not help but feel the love! Aren't they cute?!

Here are a few spots to get cozy in with working fireplaces! Molly's is one of my favorites. sawdust on the floor and shepherds pie on the menu. Also I love the garden room at The Waverly, go early because it gets really loud. Have FUN!

The Day After...

I ran into my friend David Cafiero shoveling the snow in front of his fabulous store on East 6th Street. I highly recommend you stop by for treasures.

A few images from a walk I took this morning to inspect "The Storm". All the Avenues had been plowed but the Streets were left as they were. This was causing a lot of difficulty for drivers as I witnessed stuck cars and trucks repeatedly! Why? I ask, would you be so stupid to drive into and around NYC hours after 20 inches of snow have just dumped? It made for visual fodder for my walk. Also it was so great to be able to have all the streets and avenues basically as huge promenades! It was beautiful!!! I look forward to more snow storms to come, it makes the winter bearable in the Apple.

All Hail The Storm! December 2010

Tried to go out for a walk and play in the storm as it was dumping, but the winds were too high and the snow was really wet and just pelting me in the face. It was exhilarating for a while, but became arduous as I couldn't really enjoy and take in the scenery due to the winds. I hope there will be more to come.

Lights!

MoMA

Member's night at MoMA with my friend Mary Jo Pane from Miracle Icons. Amazing show and equally as amazing to be in the museum on a Saturday night with only a few hundred people. We had a blast!
